Walking with Jesus as one family
About the school
St Joseph’s is a single-form-entry Catholic primary school in Castleford. Ofsted judged the school Good in all five areas, including early years, in October 2024, and the school’s most recent Catholic inspection rated it Outstanding in all areas. The school holds the School Games Mark, runs a year-long swimming programme in Year 5 and offers educational visits and themed days through the year, with pupils leading through the Mini Vinnies, School and Eco Councils and Year 6 Prefects. St Joseph’s works in close partnership with English Martyrs Catholic Primary, Wakefield, under shared executive leadership. Breakfast club and after-school club until 5.45pm are available.
“The school provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all.”
