A long-serving Director and current Chair of the Trust, Julie is committed to excellence and faith in Catholic Education.”

“I bring professional HR expertise to the Trust Board through my role as an HR Business Partner, where I provide strategic challenge, planning and practical solutions to stakeholders. I believe these skills align well with the responsibilities of a Foundation Director.
I am deeply committed to Catholic education and value the strong formation it provides. I attended St Joseph’s Primary in Halifax and All Saints’ High School in Huddersfield. My own children are following a similar path: two are currently at St Joseph’s Primary, Brighouse, and my two older children also attended the school before moving on to All Saints’ High School.
Within parish life, I support children’s faith development by helping to deliver weekly Children’s Liturgy at both St Bernard’s, Halifax, and St Joseph’s, Brighouse.”

“Karen is the Chief Operating Officer of a Multi Academy Trust in Batley, bringing over a decade of experience from her previous role as Operations Director in an all‑through school. Before working in education, she spent 18 years in financial services overseeing property and facilities, health and safety, strategic planning and procurement.
Passionate about the transformative power of education, Karen is ambitious for what all young people can achieve and is committed to ensuring every learner receives a first‑class experience. She works confidently with Trustees, Governors, School Leaders and external partners, drawing on her strong blend of business and educational expertise to support schools and Trusts effectively.”
Martin Gonzalez

“Martin works within Kirklees Council’s Public Health team and previously led the Council’s strategic work on sport and physical activity. A solutions‑focused systems leader, he is known for his collaborative approach, strategic thinking and commitment to reducing inequality and improving opportunities—especially for young people.
A strong advocate for Catholic education, Martin has served as both a Foundation Director and a Governor.
Beyond education, he is a Trustee of the Huddersfield Town Foundation and has extensive experience in rugby league, having spent 20 seasons coaching at Halifax RLFC, including roles as Player Performance Manager, Head of Youth and Welfare, and serving as England Youth Team Manager in 2007.
Martin is an active parishioner at St Bernard’s Catholic Church in Halifax, where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister and reader.”

“I was born in Leeds and joined the Parish of St Austin’s & English Martyrs in Wakefield from the Parish of St John Mary Vianney in North Leeds, in September 2017, where I had been Curate for two years.
I trained for 7 years for the priesthood at the Venerable English College in Rome and before that at the Royal English College in Valladolid, and was ordained to the sacred priesthood on 25 July 2015.”

“Blessing is a Higher Education professional and Senior Work‑Based Learning Tutor at Leeds Trinity University, where he leads the Business‑to‑Business Sales and Digital Marketing Degree Apprenticeships. He specialises in inclusive curriculum design, assessment and quality assurance, creating programmes that effectively link academic learning with professional practice.
As a Foundation Director and member of the Standards Committee, he brings expertise in educational improvement, governance and strategic oversight. His doctoral research explores technology‑enhanced formative assessment and dialogic learning in apprenticeships.
Blessing is passionate about widening participation, digital innovation in education and strengthening partnerships between universities, employers and learners.”

“Gregg is a qualified accountant with nearly 40 years’ experience across a range of industries. Approaching retirement, he continues to be motivated by making a positive difference. He is currently Finance Director for an owner‑managed company, overseeing all aspects of finance including statutory reporting, budgeting, cash and currency management, insurance, payroll and liaison with HMRC and other government bodies. His career has included similar senior roles in both UK‑owned businesses and subsidiaries of international companies, as well as time spent as an independent consultant supporting UK organisations.
Gregg has extensive governance experience, having served as both Parent and Foundation Governor across three primary schools.
Outside of his professional life, he enjoys photography, is a season ticket holder at Old Trafford, and is a fan of heavy rock music. He has two children, two grandchildren and two rescue dogs who keep him busy.”

“Callum is Programme Manager for the Diocese of Leeds’ award-winning Schools Singing and Keyboard Studies programmes. He also serves as Operations Consultant for the National Schools Singing Programme, which has replicated the Diocese of Leeds model across the UK, now reaching over 38,000 children in 430 schools each week.
Callum grew up in Leeds attending Catholic school and singing in Leeds Cathedral Choir, before becoming organ scholar while at sixth form. He holds a first-class degree in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Bristol.”

The Right Reverend Marcus Stock

“Right Reverend Marcus Nigel Stock is the Bishop of Leeds. He is a graduate of the University of Oxford where he studied theology at Keble College.
He subsequently trained for the priesthood at the Venerable English College in Rome, and was awarded a Licence in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University. Whilst in Rome he was ordained a Deacon by the late Cardinal Basil Hume OSB. Bishop Marcus was ordained to the priesthood on 13 August 1988 by the then Archbishop of Birmingham, the Most Reverend Maurice Couve de Murville.
From 1988 until 2009 he served in a number of parishes within the Birmingham Archdiocese and has been Parish Priest of St Birinus, Dorchester-on-Thames, St Peter’s, Bloxwich and the Sacred Heart and St Theresa at Coleshill. From 1988 to 1994 Bishop Marcus was Tutor in Theology for the Archdiocese of Birmingham’s Permanent Diaconate Formation Programme, and he was also a teacher of Religious Education at the European School at Culham, near Abingdon in Oxfordshire, from 1991 to 1994.
From 1995 to 1999, he was Assistant Director of Schools for the Archdiocese of Birmingham, becoming Director of Schools from 1999 to 2009. In 2009, he moved to London when he became the General Secretary of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, a post he held at the time of his appointment to the Diocese of Leeds. From late 2011, until the Spring of 2013, he was also the Acting Director of the Catholic Education Service. He was appointed a Prelate of Honour by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012.
Bishop Marcus’ appointment to the See of Leeds by Pope Francis was announced by the Vatican on Monday, 15 September 2014 and he was ordained Bishop and installed as the tenth Bishop of Leeds on Thursday, 13 November 2014. His episcopal motto is Desiderio, desideravi (Luke 22:15) which translates as ‘I have desired with desire to be with you’.“
As of May 2019, following elections held at the Spring Plenary Assembly of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, Bishop Marcus was elected Chair of the Department of Education and Formation and as Chair of the Catholic Education Service

“Father Paul is the Episcopal Vicar for Education, Diocese of Leeds.
Fr Paul is a life-long learner, particularly in the field of modern languages and as a speaker of French, German and Italian.
He is a member of the Old Brotherhood of the English Secular Clergy, a group which was set up in the sixteenth century to help oversee the Catholic Church in this country during the Reformation and which continues to have an honorific function to this day.
Fr Paul is Parish Priest of the Parish of Mary, Mother of God, Bradford and a Governor of St Bede’s and St Joseph’s Catholic College, Bradford. He has a degree in English Literature from the University of Cambridge, a Licence in Moral Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and a degree in French from Leeds Beckett University. He teaches ecclesiology, sacramentology and moral theology for the Catholic Certificate of Religious Studies.”

“Father Andrew is the Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, Diocese of Leeds.
He was formerly Private Secretary to Bishop David Konstant and has served as General Secretary of the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales. He has been Parish Priest of St Stephen’s, Skipton since 2011.”

“Mary has worked as a city solicitor, a lay hospice chaplain, a school chaplain and a university lecturer in Catholic Education and Religious Education in Primary Schools. She has a particular interest in the promotion of Catholic Life in schools and has carried out research in this area.
She is a graduate of Cambridge University where she read Law and has MAs in Pastoral Theology and Catholic Education from St Mary’s University.
She has been a school Governor/Director for many years. She is also a Trustee of a homeless charity based in London and a Trustee of the Diocese of Leeds.”

“Father Paul originates from Idle in Bradford and was ordained as a priest in July 1991. His first appointment was at St Joseph’s in Pontefract, where he spent three very happy years. He was then asked to undertake further studies before returning to Ushaw College, the seminary where he had previously trained for six years.
At Ushaw College, he taught Church History and served as Director of Studies and, for a period, Vice Rector.
In 2003, he returned to the Diocese of Leeds as parish priest of St Joseph’s in Batley Carr, where he spent ten very fulfilling years. During this time, he also took on additional diocesan responsibilities, including Episcopal Vicar for Outreach, Ecumenical Officer, oversight of interfaith relations, and Director of Deacons.”
