Encouraging Faithfulness, Courage and Respect
About the school
St Benedict’s is a Catholic primary school and pre-school in Garforth for children aged three to eleven. Ofsted judged the school Good overall in November 2022, with behaviour and attitudes and personal development both Outstanding, and in March 2025 the Catholic Schools Inspectorate found it Good overall with Outstanding Catholic Life and Mission and Outstanding Collective Worship. Guided by the Rule of St Benedict, the school’s three virtues of faithfulness, courage and respect run through everything it does. Pupils enjoy Forest Schools, a Year 6 residential, a wide range of sports and music clubs and regular Trust competitions. Pre-school places for three-year-olds, an on-site breakfast club and after-school care are available.
“The three key virtues of faithfulness, courage and respect underpin everything that happens in this school. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.”
