About the school
Sacred Heart is a popular Catholic primary school in Hemsworth for children aged four to eleven. Ofsted judged the school Good in every area in November 2022, and in May 2026 the Catholic Schools Inspectorate judged it a good school overall with Outstanding Catholic Life and Mission. Nurture and wellbeing are a visible strength, centred on The Hive, a dedicated calm space offering therapeutic and mindfulness activities. After-school sports clubs, a youth club for older pupils and a music curriculum that gives every child the chance to perform sit alongside pupil leadership through the Mini Vinnies and Catholic Life Leaders. Breakfast club is available from 7.45am.
“This is a school where caring and helping others is valued.”
