The vision we have for Catholic education offers young people the chance to be fully human and fully alive to the possibilities of living a fulfilled life through realising the Glory of God in everything they do.
Our school aims to do this by insisting upon excellence from all members of our community and in search for the development of faith. By being part of the BKCAT, and therefore a wider family of Catholic schools, we have greater resources and freedom to support this.
We are very proud of our excellent reputation, which is built on outstanding exam results consistently above local and national averages. The size of our school as well as the way we structure learning allows us to know each child as an individual, enabling them to realise their God given potential.
We place significant value on preparing our students for a rapidly changing world. They are our future; we must give them the all round skills and values to contribute to that world. The teaching of the Catholic Church provides the basis for this preparation.
Catholic schools are unique and distinctive. St Thomas à Becket’s is unique and distinctive amongst other Catholic schools but, of course, the best way to find out what we are really like is to visit us.
