Building Confidence, Compassion and Courage through the teachings of Jesus Christ
About the school
Holy Family & St Michael’s is a one-form-entry Catholic primary school in Pontefract for children aged four to eleven. Ofsted confirmed in September 2022 that the school continues to be Good, and the Catholic Schools Inspectorate judged it Good overall with Outstanding Catholic Life in July 2023. Its three patrons shape its character – St Joseph for confidence, Our Lady for compassion and St Michael for courage. Pupils enjoy residential visits in Years 4 and 6, a broad sporting offer recognised by the School Games Mark at Gold level, and leadership roles from School Council to Chaplaincy Team. Breakfast club and wraparound care until 6.00pm are available, along with a school bus service.
“This is a warm and welcoming school.”
