The BKCAT Climate Summit
To coincide with COP26, on Tuesday 9th November we held a virtual Trust-wide climate summit across all of our schools to share and discuss themes relating to the environment, culminating in a reflection of the things that we could do as an organisation to reverse the trend of climate change.
Led by the Trust Standards Officer, the summit included a mixture of presentations from pupils in school and guest speakers, along with input from the Trust Business & Compliance Manager and the Chair of the Trust Board.
We would like to give a special thanks to the following guest speakers for taking the time to join us and making the summit as informative and engaging as possible:
- Professor John Marsham (School of Earth & Environment at the University of Leeds);
- Richard Senior (The role of bees in protecting the environment);
- Rob Nicholl (Chip[s] Board);
- Bronagh Daly (Cafod).
