St. Wilfrid’s are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Physics to join their Science Department. With the ability to deliver outstanding progress and outcomes for our young people, the successful candidate will be supported and developed, so that as well as contributing to students’ success, and that of the overall School, they are personally developed in their career. We also welcome applications from Teachers of Chemistry or Biology with the ability to teach Physics. Additionally, subject enhancement courses would be supported.
St. Wilfrid’s is an ambitious community of learners, both students and staff, where individuals are valued, supported and developed.
The dedicated Science Team consists of 12 teaching colleagues and 4 technicians, with a range of experience. The department offers AQA Triple Science GCSEs – Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS4, with the AQA A Level courses – Biology, Chemistry and Physics offered at KS5; as well as the BTEC Applied Science Diplomas.
St. Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College is a mixed voluntary Academy for 11-18 year olds, based in North Featherstone in West Yorkshire. There are currently 1,534 students in attendance. The school opened in 1963 and has a proud history. St. Wilfrid’s was judged as Good by Ofsted in June 2016 and was also judged as Good by the Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in April 2017.
St. Wilfrid’s are proudly part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust which comprises of three Secondary Schools and twelve Primary Schools.
