Office Receptionist with Mid-day Supervisor responsibilities

22.5 hours per week (8.45am-1.15pm) – Term Time only

Expected start date: Monday 4th January

Job Type: Fixed term until January 2023

Salary:

  • Grade 2 receptionist: 16.25 hours per week 8:45am-12:00pm £6,667.58 – £6,800.95 (FTE £18,198-£18,562)
  • Grade 1 Mid-day Supervisor: 6.25 hours per week 12:00pm- 1:15pm £2,514.29 (FTE £17,842)

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a motivated, committed and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team of Administrative and Mid-day Supervisor staff.

This new post combines the role of receptionist and mid-day supervisor. You will provide reception and administrative support to the school, under the direction of senior staff and assist with the supervision of pupils during lunchtime periods.

As an Office Receptionist, we are looking for someone who:

  • has a calm, positive approach and can multi-task
  • is self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
  • is an excellent communicator with good inter-personal skills
  • has excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft package
  • will provide an effective, efficient and confidential reception and administrative service to the school

As a Mid-day Supervisor, we are looking for someone who:

  • can supervise children in the dining hall, playground and school premises
  • can aid injured or distressed children
  • can administer first aid and record the incident
  • can liaise with other staff
  • has a positive approach to team working
  • has a firm, patient, helpful and friendly personality
  • is able to relate to young people with a variety of needs and backgrounds
  • is committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of our school
