Welcome from the CEO

Welcome to the website of The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust. My name is Lesley Fitton, and I have been privileged with the role of Chief Executive Officer for the next two years.

The Bishop Konstant Catholic Trust currently consists of twelve academies within Wakefield and Leeds local authorities (of which ten are primary and two are secondary). Over the coming months we will welcome three more academies into the Trust (two primary and one secondary) from North Yorkshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust was formed to preserve, maintain and develop Catholic education in the areas served by our academies. As a Trust we are committed to providing the highest quality of education for every child and young person we serve, and we want to ensure that every child and young person benefits from the Trust.

We have a vision for our Trust that goes beyond our individual academies and that changes our perception from my academy to our academy. Working collaboratively, each academy benefits from others’ strengths and expertise within the Trust and practically from the services provided and procured centrally. The Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust is a dynamic entity, which responds to the needs of each of our parish communities, whilst upholding Catholic principles. As a Catholic Multi Academy Trust, we have a wonderful opportunity to shape the future of Catholic education and have a positive impact on the lives of around 4,500 children who attend our academies.

This is an exciting time for all the schools involved in the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust. I am privileged, as the Trust’s Chief Executive Officer, to lead such a strong, dedicated team with Christ at the heart of all that we do, working together for the benefit of our children and young people.
